Allow schedules with times, useful for out-of-business-hours only usage.
We're a managed operations team and we're all on duty during business hours. Although we can of course config Nagios to only send email to PagerDuty out of business hours, it would be convenient if we could set those times up in PagerDuty. Also think of the situation where we want someone on duty during business hours, but the customer no longer wants to pay for our 24x7 support.
I’m happy to announce that we have a new version of the calendar live in production! We are running a beta testing period where we are giving customers early access to the new version.
If you would like to try it out, please send us an email at support@pagerduty.com and we will enable it for your account. We also ask that you send us a bit of feedback on our new UI.

Another case of onshore/offshore support coverage based on hours of the day, like many others here.
Do the simplest thing possible and ship it. I'm happy to alpha/beta test.

We have a on-shore and off-shore model so on-shore would run a 12-hr shift and off-shore take the rest. Having the calendar support that so we can address a complete "team" would be perfect for us.

We really really need this. We don't want PD active during business hours, just ping us at night. Would use all 10 votes on this feature request if it was allowed.

This would be really useful to us as well, having several different offices around the world..

Hey Alex, we would really need an updated on this so we know whether we should continue with your product or search for other products that are on the market.
Thank you

Any updates at this point? I really need to be able to create two shifts -- with two different people managing day/night oncalls.

Not to be a pest, I know you're working hard on this, but... "We're now looking at a release date of end-of-April." Heading into Memorial Day weekend, and this still isn't released. Can you please update the ETA on this?

Love the product!!!!! Hi Alex what are your thoughts on when this feature will be available.

Lack of this feature is blocking me paying for the product currently. I run a team in multiple timezones, who do 12 hour on-call shifts.
Any update on a release date? -

Add me to the list of users who would LOVE this feature! For global teams, this really is a necessity ... otherwise, you wake up team-members when you don't need to!

We would love to use this feature to support the Admins in our Dublin office. The split would be 14 hours Seattle office 10 Dublin office with different staff in each window. Hearing this would be available sold us on the service.
Thanks!

So, it's currently mid-to-late March - can we get an update on this? Are you expecting to release this soon? Can we get an updated ETA please?

Mid-to-late march sounds great. Is the estimate still valid?
We're looking for a way to allow backup on-call escalations that would be just as flexible as the on-call scheduling. Let me clarify what I mean:
Person 1 and 2 share rotation. When person 1 is on-call, the person b should be on backup. When person 2 is on-call the person 1 is on backup.Current escalation only allows certain users regardless of current on-call.
Is there a solution coming for this scenario in the redesigned scheduling component?

I'm also looking for this. I want one employee to be on call at night, and another on call during the day, since the two are 8 hours off on time zones, this would be ideal.

Is there an ETA for this feature so we can have a different on-call person between specified times in the day
